Lawrence “Larry” Hurwitz
Mr. Hurwitz founded Lawrence Financial Group (LFG) in Los Angeles in 1990. Since that time, Lawrence Financial has arranged more than $7 billion in financing.
Prior to establishing LFG, Mr. Hurwitz served as CEO of Country Junction, a family-owned clothing retailer. In 1972, when he became CEO, the firm operated three stores with sales of $3 million. He eventually built the firm to 150 stores located in 17 states, with annual sales of $80 million, and then oversaw its sale.
Mr. Hurwitz also spent a number of years on Wall Street, becoming the youngest member of the New York Stock Exchange and CEO of a member firm broker dealer.
He did his undergraduate work at the University of Texas and earned an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School. Subsequently he was admitted into Harvard's doctoral program, and received an appointment to its teaching and research staff.
Mr. Hurwitz is an active participant in the business community of Southern California. He established the California Capital Summit; was a co-founder of Business Forum International; is the founder and group leader of the Provisors Capital Markets Affinity Group; is a member of the Executive Committee of the Provisors Mergers & Acquisitions Group; and organized the CEO Round Table of the Harvard Business School Association of Orange County.

Haze Walker
Having started banking over 35 years ago, Haze Walker is a highly experienced financial professional focused on alternative commercial financing for the past 25 years. She specializes in providing funding solutions and solving cash flow needs for small to medium businesses.
Haze became a partner at Lawrence Financial in 2009 and developed a strategic partnership in 2010 with FSW Funding, a Division of Oxford Commercial Credit. She has successfully launched nationwide marketing programs and is a leader in the commercial financing arena. She was recently named one of 2022 Top Women Deal Makers from the NACLB, awarded one of the top 25 women for Mergers and Acquisition Financing by Opus Connect, nominated in 2021 by Provisors for the group leader award, and recognized as one of the Top 50 Women in Finance for 2020.
Haze is an active participant in the Southern California business community. She is a group leader and moderator for the ProVisors Capital Markets Affinity Group, and co-founded Transactions Networking Group. She is on the board of the Financing Forum, OPUS Connect, and SoCal IFA; a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group, LA25, Horizon, SF Net, IFA, TMA, and the ACG.

Mena M. Rizk
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Rizk has recently joined Lawrence Financial as a Partner. With a distinguished career in finance, Mr. Rizk brings a wealth of experience to our team. Prior to joining Lawrence Financial, he served as a Managing Director at Pathward in the Asset-Based Lending division (formerly known as Crestmerk, a division of MetaBank). Additionally, Mr. Rizk held the position of Regional Vice President at LSQ Funding, a prominent non-bank lender.
His entrepreneurial journey includes co-founding Homeland Supplier Corporation, a government contracting firm working with the Department of Defense and Foreign Military Sales Program. Through this experience, Mr. Rizk gained valuable insights into the strategic importance of well-structured debt for fostering growth.
Mr. Rizk holds an MBA from Louisiana State University and a BS from Indiana University. His commitment to the finance community is evident through his Executive Board positions in esteemed organizations such as the Association for Corporate Growth, Turnaround Management Association, and the Secured Finance Network.
